P Bass Limbass

This P Bass-style bass is a custom ordered model.

Together with the bassist, we selected the woods for the construction. The body is made of black limba with a wenge binding, the neck is maple, and the fingerboard is rosewood. Black limba produces a sound similar to mahogany, with a round tone and strong attack for fingerstyle or slap playing.

The bass is finished with oil, allowing the woods to vibrate and express themselves freely. An oiled guitar neck provides a smooth feel and excellent comfort. These oils are highly regarded in high-end guitar models and give the wood a natural look.

The NW Guitars pickups were custom made in France. They are a combination of two Jazz Bass-type pickups with a volume and tone control. A mini switch allows the two pickups to be used in series or parallel.

As for hardware, the Gotoh tuners are oil bathed and have a modern look. The bridge is a Gotoh X-Tonal, providing excellent vibration transfer.
