Fanned Fret Guitar Thesis Custom

This Fanned Fret guitar is a custom model based on the Thesis. The shape has been modified to meet the guitarist’s desired comfort.

The body and neck are made of black limba, with a quilted maple and wenge top, and the fretboard is made of figured maple. Black limba provides great resonance and sustain, with a very warm and balanced sound. The maple top and fretboard bring brightness and precise attack even in distortion.

The modern finish is tinted with a fine open-pore satin varnish. A gradient of colors highlights the quilted maple, and the satin gives a natural and less smudge-prone finish than a glossy varnish. The fretboard has custom wenge inlays.

The NW Guitars pickups were custom-made in France. They consist of 2 overwound humbuckers in Alnico to achieve a high output level while remaining balanced. The clean sound is round and warm, rich in mid-bass for presence, and with powerful distortions.

The hardware includes Hipshot tuners, a floating Floydrose T4M tremolo with a locking nut, and Dunlop Security Lock straplocks to secure the strap.
