Superstrat Guitar Metal Storm
This Superstrat-style guitar is a custom-made model with a very metal look.
The body and neck are made of mahogany, and the fretboard is made of ebony. Mahogany provides great resonance and sustain, with a very warm and balanced sound. The fretboard adds brightness and precise attacks even when using distortion.
The finish is a fine black lacquer, to avoid choking the sound of the guitar. The guitarist wanted an all-black guitar, with a nod to the “Biker” style and a personalized logo on the body. Customized mother-of-pearl patterns were inlaid into the ebony fretboard.
The NW Guitars pickups were custom-made in France. They consist of 2 overwound humbuckers in Alnico and Ceramic to obtain a big output level. The sound is round, rich in low mids to give thickness to distortion and high gain.
The hardware is black, with Gotoh tuners, a Gotoh flat bridge and Dunlop Security Lock straplocks to secure the strap.
